Kinder
Aims
Our aim is to provide the best start to theyoung child's school experience in a happy, tension-free environment in which there is structure and order. Each child is treated as unique, and his/her individual development and progress are watched carefully. We feel it is very important that each child should progress at his/her own rate, and where extra help is needed, it is given.
We are concerned about our student's social, intellectual, physical and emotional growth. Children in our care are encouraged to develop self-discipline and show respect for others, as well as for our environment. A great deal of time is spent on the acquisition of language skills.
With our parents´ help we are aiming to form students who take a lively interest in learning and who will continue to enjoy learning throughout their lives. Our attitudes towards ethnicity, gender and social status eliminate prejudice and stereotyping, so that every child has an equal opportunity to succeed and all people are treated with equal respect.

Structure
In the Kinder we educate children from two to six years of age. There are four year groups: Nursery, Reception, Transition and Year 1. The Nursery, Reception and Transition classes have 15 children in each year group. Year 1´s work with 24. Each class is taught by a teacher, and classroom assistants are available most of the time to help give children more individualized attention. We also have nannies and an extensive security, cleaning and maintenance staff.
Curriculum
In Nursery we have a curriculum tailored to meet the needs of our two-year-olds. We aim to provide opportunities to develop their social, emotional, creative, physical and cognitive development, as well as laying the foundation of their acquisition of English. From Reception on, our curriculum is based on the British National Curriculum. We start with Key Stage Zero, which encourages the development of skills to prepare the children for starting more formal learning in Transition. Year 1 children continue with Key Stage 1, including the Literacy and Numeracy programmes.
